Aunt Arctic's Article #45

Hello, penguins!

Welcome to another edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article. It’s been quite some time, hasn’t it? Last time, we took a look at the August Penguin Style, Igloo catalogs and an interesting sight in the Beacon Telescope! This week, I sat down with the host of the Puffle Party, Puffle Handler, for an exclusive interview.

A Colorful Conversation with Puffle Handler!

Aunt Arctic: Hello Puffle Handler, it’s good to see you again!

Puffle Handler: G’day Aunt Arctic! Please, call me PH!

Aunt Arctic: Of course, PH! Now, the Puffle Party is back for a second year in a row. What was your favorite thing from last year that came back this time around?

Puffle Handler: Oh wow, everything really! If I had to narrow it down, I’d say the Puffle Feeding Room and Puffle Show, since those are only around during these parties. It’s quite fun feeding as many puffles as you can and showing off your puffle’s talents!

Aunt Arctic: I agree, this party does have some great party rooms! Now, in terms of what’s new for this year, I believe you made a little encounter…

Puffle Handler: That’s right! About a month ago, I noticed an interesting cloud making its way to the island. It was even sparkling a bit! After investigating it a bit more, I found out that it was none other than a cloud filled with Rainbow Puffles!

Aunt Arctic: That’s incredible! The Rainbow Puffle has been asked about for quite some time, so to see it be real is fascinating!

Puffle Handler: Yup! So, with the help of Gary, we built a cannon that would help penguins get up to what’s called the Cloud Forest.

Aunt Arctic: Now, was there a reason for keeping the cannon under wraps until penguins completed their Island Quests for this party?

Puffle Handler: Rainbow Puffles are unlike any puffle we’ve ever encountered, they don’t want to go home to just any penguin! So, I wanted to use Island Quests as a test to see just how dedicated penguins are to taking care of their puffles. It would seem that many are, which is an amazing sight to see!

Aunt Arctic: I’ll say! Is the Cloud Forest here to stay?

Puffle Handler: As much as I would love to say yes, a big bunch of Rainbow Puffles still wish to keep going with their travels. Don’t worry though, my gut tells me that this will not be the last time we see them…

Aunt Arctic: I sure hope not, they’re quite amazing! I hope one day we’ll be able to convince them all to stay. PH, thank you for talking with me today.

Puffle Handler: Anytime, Aunt Arctic. Thanks for having me!

Extra Extra!

Ask Aunt Arctic

Dear Aunt Arctic,

Have your puffles ever wandered off somewhere they shouldn’t have?

- TheNitronic

Dear TheNitronic,

Puffles can be quite the handful at times, which is why it’s always important to keep a close eye on them!

I will say, one time two of my puffles got out of my igloo, and I was worried sick! Thankfully, due to the remarkable efforts of some penguins, I was able to be reunited with them! I could talk about it for a while, but let’s just say they were quite resourceful.

In the end, you should always be prepared and ready! In other words, make sure you lock your doors and windows to keep them from getting any ideas of solo exploration!

Dear Aunt Arctic,

I just moved into my igloo and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the amazing furniture available. How do you recommend getting a start on designing my home?

- sheepyhip

Dear sheepyhip,

Congratulations on moving into your new igloo! That’s quite an achievement on its own. I understand entirely, when you’re presented with many different paths to take, it can feel quite overwhelming.

Thankfully, what’s great about your igloo is that it’s your igloo! You can decorate however you want. More importantly, you can decorate it at your own pace, you’ve got all the time you want! I keep my igloo on the more simple side, and I enjoy it very much!

If you have a hard time coming up with ideas, I’d say just try and create something that feels cozy. A place you can relax in after a long day out on the island! I wish you the best of luck.

Poetry

On a frosty floe where the cold winds blow,

Penguins waddle in a perfect row.

They slide on icebergs, leap with flair,

Flapping their wings through the Arctic air.

An igloo stands with a cozy glow,

Its walls of snow in a gentle bow.

Inside, a feast—what a surprise!

A pizza with toppings that dazzle the eyes.

Puffles bounce in every hue,

Pink and purple, red and blue.

They giggle and roll, a cheerful crew,

Leaving trails of sparkles as they zoom through.

Above the ice, a rainbow arcs,

Painting the sky with brilliant marks.

It shimmers bright in the polar light,

A magical bridge from day to night.

So if you dream of chilly scenes,

Of puffles, pizza, and penguin queens,

Just close your eyes and you might go

To a land of wonder, ice, and snow.

- PudgyDoodle

Puffles are furry, cute and round,

In the forests are where they are found.

All they do is play around,

Hopping and bopping with a happy sound.
