Aunt Arctic's Article #49
Hello, penguins!
Welcome to another edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article. Last time, we took a look at this month’s catalogs and two upcoming parties in this very busy month! This week, we take a look at Club Penguin’s 20th Anniversary Party, the host of this year’s Halloween Party and send out a big thank you!

Blast from the Past!
This past Friday, Club Penguin turned 20 years old! To celebrate this marvelous occasion, an island-wide party was held, hosted by Cadence, Sensei and myself!
Many memories from the past two decades were relived. From the Winter Fiesta in the Town to the Island Adventure Party in the Plaza, plenty of parties from years past were each given a room to celebrate. In the Coffee Shop, a colossal sized cake filled the building, along with plenty of mementos over the years.
Most importantly, the Lakeside unveiled the Memo-Scope 3000, which showcased hundreds of your memories up in the sky! It was a celebration for the ages, and the fun on this snowy island is just getting started!
Gary Is Your Haunting Host!
After initially being unsure if he would be able to attend this year’s Halloween Party, word has been received that Gary will in fact be returning to host for his fourth consecutive year! Here’s what he had to say:
“I’m always quite busy in my lab, but I figured it would be best for me to take an overdue break to see everybody again. In addition to this, I’ve been told that the Haunted Mansion will be returning, so it will be good to catch up with my great uncle Gariwald!” - Gary
The Halloween Party is expected to begin incredibly soon, keep your eyes peeled for both that and plenty of ghosts along with it!
Thank You, Club Penguin!
With it being such an important past few days, I figured it would be good to end off this article with just one simple message: thank you, Club Penguin!
Over the course of 7,305 days, a community has been built and only continues to grow. It has given so many penguins a place to waddle around, meet new friends and be their best authentic selves. We’ve even been able to change the world together.
I feel incredibly grateful to be able to be a part of all of this, and I can only hope that whoever is reading this feels the same way. The future is looking very bright for this snowy island!

Ask Aunt Arctic
Dear Aunt Arctic,
What do you like about writing?
- Hero94
Dear Hero94,
There are so many things that I love about writing! I’ve been doing so for as long as I can remember, and it’s always made sense to me!
I always feel quite good being able to be in a position where I am able to write about the happenings on the island. It’s very important to me that penguins are informed of what’s going on.
In addition to this, it just simply keeps me busy! Keeping yourself occupied is very important, and for me writing is often how I do just that!
Dear Aunt Arctic,
What is your most cherished memory of Club Penguin?
- TheNitronic
Dear TheNitronic,
Just like the last question, this one could also have so many different answers! Club Penguin has been an absolute treasure over the years for many reasons.
One of my favorite memories was publishing the 100th issue of the Club Penguin Times back in September 2007. The other newspaper milestones, such as Issues 250 and 500, were quite exciting as well, but 100 was my personal favorite.
I also enjoyed parties such as the Anniversary Parties, Holiday Parties and Penguin Play Awards. This 20th Anniversary Party was a huge success! Meanwhile, I’m sure that there will be a Holiday Party in December. In addition to that, hopefully we can have our own Penguin Play Awards in the future!

Poetry
With the fair at a close, we put on a show,
The time has come to reminisce on the old.
We cheer to every event, puffle, and waddle,
To the penguins we’ve met and those that will follow.
The future is bright so let us rejoice,
To Club Penguin’s birth and everlasting life.

When Halloween comes to town,
There are frights all around.
But the scariest is just ahead,
That some penguins may dread.
Oh no! Here comes . . .
The night of the Living Sled!
