Aunt Arctic's Article #5

Hello, penguins!

Welcome to another edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article. Last week, we had another lovely interview with Dot, who gave out more helpful information regarding the Fashion Festival. This week, now that the party has arrived, we will take a deep dive into everything!

Fashion Festival Finally Arrives!

After weeks of clues, riddles, and sneak peeks, the Fashion Festival finally arrived on the island this past Saturday! I spoke to a few penguins regarding the festivities, where’s what they had to say:

“It’s incredible! My favorite spot is probably the Ski Village, everything in that room is so beautiful, and of course colorful. I can’t wait to participate in the Rainbow theme later during the party!”

“This party was surely worth the wait. My favorite room is probably the Cove. It takes me back to the Halloween Party. Now I can wear a spooky costume in June and not wait until October? Who wouldn’t love that?”

“My favorite theme is probably the Silly theme over at the Snow Forts. Thrown pies as stages, that was a nice little touch. Not to mention, paint fights everywhere! I can’t wait to submit an outfit for that theme. Although, if you have a fear of heights, I suggest you perhaps take a buddy with you, that staircase to the skies could be intimidating for you.”

What’s great about this party is that it has a little bit of everything, so it appeals to just about everyone! The festivities last all the way until June 16, so there’s plenty of time to see it all!

A Contest For the Best Dressed!

The main event of the party, the Fashion Contest, also began yesterday, and it kicked things off with the Fantasy theme over at the Forest. If you’re curious about the schedule of themes, there is another post right here on the What’s New? Blog ironing out the details. I spoke to some penguins over at the Forest to see what ideas they came up with. Here’s what they had to say:

“I don’t want to put too much information out in the open, but I dressed up as a wizard! What could be more “fantasy” than that?”

“I’ll tell you what, fairies! Wizards are cool and all, but fairies have much more variety when it comes to fashion!”

“Guys, guys… unfortunately neither of you are correct. The TRUE answer is DRAGONS! I specifically dressed up as a dragon king! Nothing can top a royal fire-breathing creature!”

These three started to get into a rather intense debate, but I assured them that all of their outfit ideas sounded lovely. The best part, these are only three of them! The options are endless! Be sure to submit your Fantasy outfit by June 5 and keep following the Fashion Contest schedule! Remember, if you reach the Top 10, you’ll earn coins and a brand new pin!

Who Is Boiler Barry?

This came as a surprise to many, myself and Dot included, but the Boiler Room also received a makeover during this party. It apparently was done by none other than a fellow named Boiler Barry. I attempted to engage in a conversation with him. However, when we did so, instead of hearing words our dialogue was followed by what appeared to have been a title card covering my entire line of vision! Here’s what some of them said:

“I AM BOILER BARRY.”

“PLEASE GRAB YOURSELF A STEAMBOAT HAT AND BACKGROUND.”

“HOPE YOU DON’T FEEL HURT BY THIS SURPRISE DECOR, BIG PENGUIN.”

That’s unfortunately all Boiler Barry had to say. Despite the confusion of this whole thing, he seems like a nice penguin. I can’t help but feel like I’ve seen this sort of thing somewhere…

Ask Aunt Arctic

Dear Aunt Arctic,

Who delivers the penguin mail? I love sending postcards and would like to thank the postal worker for their speedy service!

- websites

Dear websites,

While I’m not aware of the specific identities of those who work with Penguin Mail, I can tell you that they are very hard-working. Like you said, they do a great job at providing speedy service for their mail.

Perhaps one day I will write a story that provides a deeper look into the process of Penguin Mail, but in the meantime a thank you is surely in order. So, from the entire Club Penguin community, we give you a big thank you, Penguin Mail team!

Dear Aunt Arctic,

How many levels in Jet Pack Adventure do you need to complete without getting coins to earn the 1,000 coin prize at the end?

- C Devorah

Dear C Devorah,

I see you’re looking to become an ace pilot! In order to earn that stamp and win the 1,000 coin prize, you must complete all five levels without collecting a single coin. It’s a tough one for sure!

This task proves to be not terribly difficult with the first three levels. However, once you reach the caves, you have much less wiggle room, and therefore it becomes highly difficult to not grab coins.

You also must make sure to use up all your fuel at the end of each level. Otherwise, you’ll be rewarded coins based on the amount of fuel you had left! I wish you the best of luck as you complete this task.

If you have a question about our snowy island, let me know! I’d love to hear from you.

That wraps up this week’s edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article! Thank you for stopping by, penguins. As with every Monday, new Community Events have been posted at the Lakeside! To those who attend any of these events, I hope you have a wonderful time! A new Penguin Art Wall will also be on its way very soon!

Until next time… waddle on!
