Welcome to another edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article. Last time, we took a look at what the month of March and early April had in store for us. This time, we’re getting a peak at what the rest of April has in store for us!

Top Stories

The Gift Shop Goes Above and Beyond!

‍

This past weekend, the Gift Shop unveiled a brand new Penguin Style catalog. It features a great amount of pieces of clothing that haven’t been available on the island in years! In fact, a lot of them haven’t been available since our very first clothing catalog four years ago!

‍

These items appear to be a mix of casual outdoor clothing, with a chunk of them relating to flying? Perhaps we’ll have more information on the latter part of things later in the article… There’s also a ton of hidden balloons too!

‍

These items will be available until the release of July’s edition. However, the new set of backgrounds will exit in June. Lastly, Penguins at Work and Outfit of the Month will both be exiting next month, so be sure to grab those outfits while you can! 

‍

Bigger Is Better (Igloos)!

‍

Sometimes things just don’t go according to plan, and that would be the case for the March Igloo Catalogs. It was reported that the catalogs got sucked into one of the interdimensional rifts from the April Fools’ Party! Whoops!

‍

Fear not! Those catalogs have been recovered, and will now be included with the upcoming April Igloo Catalogs. They’re going to be brand new Igloo Catalogs that are double in size! It’s every igloo maker’s dream! And of course, new music will be included as well!

‍

These items will feature an array of springtime, green, and even some construction type items? Interesting, I’m sure Rory will enjoy that! They are expected to be released very soon, so keep your eyes peeled! 

‍

We’re Going Up. Up? Up!

‍

As stated earlier, it would seem that some of the outfits in the new Penguin Style are in preparation for a brand new party hitting the island later this month! I spoke to Gary the Gadget Guy to see what he had to say:

“Greetings, penguins! The windows of the Underground Pool will soon be undergoing much needed maintenance. However, I’ve decided to take a rather interesting approach to getting this work done. It’s time for our island of flightless birds to become flightful in something that I call… the Festival of Flight! Rory and I will be working heavily on the work underground, but we’ve got somebody else who is a perfect fit to be your host. Let’s just say, he’s a guy who loves to fly.” - Gary

You heard it here first! A never before seen party, the Festival of Flight, will be arriving on the island later this month! Grab your propeller caps, jet packs, balloons, kites, or anything flight related and get ready to soar into the clouds!

Extra Extra!

Ask Aunt Arctic

Dear Aunt Arctic,

Within the Mine, there seems to be an extra path at the bottom left of the room. Where does it lead to?

Dear Waffling,

‍

While that may look like a path, it would seem that it is only a dead end. However, that doesn’t mean that the Underground is fully discovered. Over the years, this island has had quite a few discoveries.

‍

In fact, back in July 2024, there was a Cave Expedition that allowed penguins to go deep within the Underground. It took us to parts of the caves that we had never seen before! In the end, it led to the discovery of puffles!

‍

So, while that path may not lead to anything, that doesn’t mean it’ll never be possible! There’s also plenty of opportunity to potentially discover new spots above the ground as well. Only time will tell I suppose!
