Hi Penguins,

For quite some time now, many of you have requested to see various different features be implemented into our igloo editing system. After weeks of hard work, we’re happy to announce our brand new remodeled igloo editing system! We appreciate your patience as we worked a bit longer on this update to make sure it was as good as possible. This blog post will cover the main points of this new update!

Igloo Saves

Let’s start off with probably the most requested feature: igloo saves. Many of you have asked for the ability to save multiple igloos instead of only having one. This feature will come in handy if you wish to decorate an igloo for a party or igloo contest, but have no desire to change your current igloo. With this update, you’ll be able to save three igloos total! You’ll also be able to give your igloos creative names!

Igloo Builder Interface

We’ve added a few new updates to our Igloo Builder Interface that will hopefully make decorating igloos even easier! These include the following:

‍

• The Igloo Inventory can now display up to three columns instead of just one.
• There is now a search bar for your Igloo Inventory, similar to your Player Card when searching for clothing. However, this search bar is available by default. We hope to have the latter become a default feature in the future as well.
• Rather than typing in a secret command, there will now be an igloo boundaries button front and center in the interface.
• We’ve also added a Clear All Items button, which will allow you to easily start your igloo from scratch without having to change igloos to do so.

‍Purchasable Music

This one is my personal favorite! Igloo music can now be purchased to keep in your Igloo Inventory! Each month there will be five tracks that will change with the Igloo Catalogs. Speaking of which, the purchasable music will be located in its very own catalog: The Music Box! You’ll be able to preview tracks and play them in your igloo for free. However, if you wish to add it to your Igloo Inventory to keep forever, it will cost 75 coins.

More is on its way in the near future as well! There will be five standard tracks available for purchase, these will include C’est Chaud, Good Attitude, Maybe Baby, Santiago Swing and Techno Cowboy. There will also be a brand new custom furniture item made by Shovel, which will be distributed to everyone, and it will give you easy access to the brand new Music Browser where you can see your saved music.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

We’ve also included some bug fixes and improvements that have been highly requested to be implemented. These include:

• Flooring not working in certain igloos (additional fixes for other igloos coming soon!)
• Improvements to deleting furniture from igloos.
• Other bug fixes and improvements.

Igloo Contest

To celebrate the release of this igloo update, we thought it would be neat to have a brand new Igloo Contest! From now until Sunday, July 20, you will be able to submit an Igloo that you think best captures what the theme of this contest is. Of course, we will be going over everything in detail.

As always, this contest will be judged by us, the Club Penguin Legacy Team. There will be three top contestants for this igloo contest. In addition to this, there will be 12 honorable mentions that we will also showcase right here on the blog.

Here are the details and submission guidelines for this contest:

‍

• One submission per penguin
• Must submit by Sunday, July 20
• Must follow the theme of the contest
• Unlimited furniture quality
• Turning off igloo boundaries is allowed

The Theme

The theme for this contest is Summer Jam! With the furniture and igloos from June, May and April, we’ve got summer, music and outdoor selections! Do you make a backyard beach? A concert? A floral garden? Do you combine two catalogs? All three of them? The only limit is your imagination!

‍

You are free to use any igloo you wish as long as you believe you can link it to the theme. The only limit here is your creativity and imagination!

‍

To access the submissions, simply head on over to your igloo and click the golden igloo icon that’s located right above the igloo builder icon. From there, you will be given step-by-step instructions on how to successfully submit your igloo to the contest. Be sure to carefully read the guidelines and make sure your igloo follows all of the guidelines!

The Rewards

‍

Those who earn a spot in the Top 3 of the Igloo Contest will receive our exclusive and animated Igloo Contest Award Pin! Did you know that there are currently only 27 players with this pin? Well, you could join them! Feel free to showcase it on your Player Card and/or Stamp Book if you win!

The Top 3 will also receive a cool banner permanently displayed in their igloo, signifying that you made it to the top of this Igloo Contest.

‍

Lastly, all eligible entries of the Igloo Contest will receive the Igloo Architect stamp for simply creating and submitting an igloo that meets all of the guidelines. You do not have to be in the Top 3 or receive an honorable mention to earn this stamp!
